A very cool journal, Lucky Jefferson, has published one of my new poems. You can check it out here.
It’s titled “When the old man at the grocery asks you what an avocado is” and it’s inspired by a very real conversation I had with an old fellow at the Meijer. We weekday morning shoppers are a spirited crowd, and I turned the conversation over and over in my head until the poem finally came out nearly fully formed. I love it when inspiration works like that. I hope you like it.
