Lots of New Poetry Online

I have new work out in two journals this month. This first is MacQueen’s Quinterly, and its incomparable editor, Clare MacQueen, who called me to work through some issues. One piece is a cheribun, which combines a prose poem and a short tanka, which operate independently from one another to form both two individual poems and one complete poem at the same time. It’s a fun form to work in, and the poem was short-listed for the cheribun prize. You can read “Cardinal” here.

The other poem featured at MacQ is a prose poem that has taken many forms before finally finding a home. You can read “Nocturne for Cardiac Ablation #4” here.

I also had the pleasure of publishing two poems with Tupelo Quarterly for Issue 33 of the long-running journal. You can read both poems, “Waiting Room” and “A Note for our Unconceived Child” at your leisure.

Enjoy, and thanks for reading.
